Protec Management Team
President — Andy Schwartz has over 28 years of electronic systems experience. He began with a national company and was soon recruited to manage the security services for a large, local company. Andy founded Protec in 1986. He is a licensed Journeyman Limited Energy Electrician in Oregon and Washington. Andy’s vast experience and unique background in both Sales and Operations has provided Protec with a guiding hand as this once fledgling company has grown to become one of the leading systems integrators in the Pacific Northwest. Andy is a current member and past board member of the American Society for Industrial Security. He is a current member and past President of the Oregon Burglar and Fire Alarm Association as well as a current member of the Society of Fire Prevention Engineers.
Vice President Sales — Bill Fitzhenry came to Protec with 27 years experience in the electronic security and systems integration marketplace. Bill has worked with several national security companies where he was part of the senior team responsible for business development and strategic direction. With an extensive executive management and leadership background, Bill’s passion is about excellence. His customer focus and business acumen helps develop a Protec culture seeking to understand customer needs. These results in our ability to implement custom solutions that truly fit our customer’s unique requirements and help deliver improved productivity, reduced cost and managed risk.
Vice President Operations — Patrick McGill came to Protec with diverse experience in security systems integration, building automation and various low voltage technology areas. Patrick has worked with several major companies by design engineering, project managing and consulting with then on their security systems on a local and national basis. Some of these companies include Kaiser Permanente, Hewlett Packard, TriMet, Group Health, The Anheuser-Busch Companies, and several others. Patrick’s experience provides Protec with exceptional abilities to understand customer needs and leverage cutting edge technology resulting in our ability to implement tailor made solutions. Patrick also plays an active role with Protec manufacture relationships, ensuring complete support to Protec and its’ customers.
Vice President Project Management — John Barnes has been working in the security and fire industry since 1983. Prior to joining Protec John was Senior Project Manager for a large Systems Integrator in San Francisco. John has vast experience in handling large projects ranging from Healthcare and High Tech to Utilities and High Rise Office Complexes. He is a licensed Journeyman Limited Energy Electrician in the State of Oregon and Washington and holds a Limited Energy Electrical Administrators License for the State of Washington. John’s vast experience with both systems and people provides leadership and direction for Protec’s Operations Group — which includes installation, service, and customer support. John is Nicet certified and holds an associates degree in Computer Science and Mathematics.
